Short description#
Aetas is a classic real-time strategy game in which you lead your people from the Stone Age to the Industrial Age, against the computer or with up to eight players online.
Long description#
Aetas is real-time strategy the way it used to be made. Every match starts with a town center, four workers and a map nobody has seen before. You gather food, wood, stone, gold and iron, build a town, raise an army and try to bring your opponent down, while one question keeps nagging: advance to the next age now, or train one more group of soldiers first? There are no heroes and no cards, just economy, timing and the right mix of troops.
Six peoples each play their own way, with their own unit, their own start, two technologies of their own and something they never get. Play 48 missions based on real history, from Tours and Lindisfarne to Troy and Ningyuan, take on computer opponents that build real towns and attack like an army, or play with up to eight players online, with voice chat and ranked matches for the leaderboard.
Key features#
- Seven ages, from the Stone Age to the Industrial Age, with units that grow with them and can be upgraded right where they stand.
- Six peoples that really play differently: Franks, Norse, Greeks, Mongols, Arabs and Chinese.
- Six campaigns with 48 historical missions, plus six famous battles to play on their own.
- A new map every match, in nine kinds of landscape, from woodland and lakes to rivers, mountain ridges and desert, always fair.
- Computer opponents with character: five difficulty levels, five building styles and different openings every match.
- Up to eight players online or on a local network, with voice chat, saved multiplayer matches and ranked play.
