Report a bug or share feedback#
There are two ways to reach us:
- Email info@aetasrts.nl. Best for bugs, crashes and anything you want to send files with.
- The Steam discussions, for feedback, ideas and questions other players might have too.
What to send along#
The more we know, the faster it gets fixed:
- The version of the game. It is shown in the main menu.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- If it happened in a match: the savegame or the replay of that match. A replay is recorded automatically, so you don't have to do anything for it.
- If the game crashed: the crash log.
On Windows you will find those files here:

The quickest way there: press Windows + R, type %APPDATA%\Aetas and press Enter.
Known issues#
- Replays of Highlands matches from before 0.4.2 play out differently now, because Highlands got real mountains. Your saved games are safe: they keep their own map.
- Replays from an older version of the game can play out differently in a newer one. The game warns you when a replay was recorded with another version.
- Different versions can't play together online. Everyone in a match needs the same version (see below).
- Not all achievements unlock on Steam yet. Steam lets a new game have 100 achievements for now. The others are already in the game and switch on as soon as Steam allows more; the ones that follow from your progress, like campaigns and matches, then unlock by themselves.
Common technical questions#
The game doesn't start#
Update the drivers of your graphics card, from the website of NVIDIA, AMD or Intel. Aetas draws with OpenGL, and old drivers are the most common reason it won't start. Does it still not work? Send us the crash log (see above).
I see "different game version" when I go online#
Restart Steam. Steam then fetches the latest update, and you can play with everyone else again.
It runs slowly#
Check that your PC meets the system requirements. F3 shows your frame rate and ping during a match. Lowering the shadows or the interface size in the settings can help on older PCs.
My saved games are gone on another PC#
Your saved games and progress travel with you through Steam Cloud. Make sure Steam Cloud is switched on for Aetas in Steam, and that you are logged in with the same Steam account.
